Our Tiled Roofing Services Dublin Include:
We look after pitched roofs from the gutter line to the ridge. That covers new tiled roofs, full and partial re-roofs, repairs to slipped, cracked or missing tiles, and the details that usually give way first: ridge and hip tiles, verges, valleys and the lead around chimneys. The work is the same whether the roof is on a house or a commercial building in Dublin. We take on tiled and slate roofs across County Dublin (D01 - D18), including nearby Smithfield, Temple Bar, Stoneybatter and Phoenix Park, from our office in Sandyford, Dublin: call 01 263 5253 for a free written quote.

- Slipped and broken tile replacement
- Ridge and hip rebedding or dry fix

- Velux windows in tiled roofs
- Moss removal and roof cleaning

Tiled Roof Repairs Dublin D01 - D18
One slipped tile can let in enough water over a wet winter to stain a ceiling and rot the batten underneath it. Tiles move for a handful of reasons: nails rust through, battens soften, frost cracks older concrete tiles and strong winds lift the edges. We replace and refix whatever has moved, then check the tiles around it while we are up there.
Matching matters on a tiled roof. Where your profile is still made, we source it; where it is not, we can take originals from a less visible slope at the back and use new tiles there instead.

Slate Roof Dublin
Slate is the traditional Irish roof covering and still one of the best looking. We work with natural slate, including Blue Bangor, and with Cedral fibre cement slate, which gives a clean, uniform slate finish at a lower weight and cost.

Dry Ridge Roof Systems Dublin
Ridge tiles have traditionally been bedded in sand and cement. Years of frost and rain break that bedding down until it crumbles, leaving the ridge loose and liable to blow off in a storm.
Dublin Dry Ridge Benefits
Because nothing relies on cement, you are not paying for ridge repointing again a few winters from now. Each ridge and hip tile is held by its own fixing, so it stays put in high winds, and air passing through the breathable ridge roll carries attic moisture away, so condensation has less chance to build up under the tiles.

Dry Verge Roof Systems Dublin
The verge is the sloping edge of the roof at each gable end, and it takes the full force of driving rain and wind. Mortar verges eventually crack and drop away, sometimes onto a path or car below.
Dublin Dry Verge Benefits
Dry verge caps are fixed mechanically, so they cannot loosen and fall the way old mortar does. They need no maintenance, keep birds and wind-driven rain out of the gable ends, and give the roof a crisp, finished edge that suits both new and older homes.

Why Have a Tiled Roof Dublin?
Tiles are the most common covering on pitched roofs in Ireland. They are affordable to buy and fit, stand up well to wind and rain, and can be repaired one at a time, which keeps the long-term cost of owning the roof down.
Benefits of Tiled Roofs Dublin
Concrete and clay tiles are tough, non-combustible and slow to fade. Because every tile has its own fixing, a single broken one can be swapped without disturbing the rest, and interlocking profiles shed water quickly on lower pitches where slate would struggle.
Types of Dublin Tiled Roofs
Most homes have concrete interlocking tiles in flat or profiled shapes. Clay tiles, including plain tiles and pantiles, turn up more on older and period properties, while slate, natural or fibre cement, gives a slimmer, sharper line.

How much does a Tile Roof cost Dublin?
We do not publish a price list, because no two tiled roofs cost the same. The figure depends on the roof area and pitch, the tile you choose, whether battens and timbers need renewing, how many chimneys, valleys and roof windows there are, and the scaffolding needed to reach it safely.
A small repair might mean a couple of hours and a handful of tiles, while a full re-roof is a far larger undertaking. Either way, the survey is free and the quote is written down, so you know exactly what you are paying before you agree to anything.

Professional Tiled Roof Repairs Dublin
Most leaks on a tiled roof start in a small number of places: a slipped or cracked tile, a failed ridge, worn lead around a chimney or a blocked valley. Our roofers trace the water back to its source, fix it with matching materials and check the slopes either side, so you are not calling us back for the tile next door. For homes and businesses in and around Dublin, emergency call-outs run 24/7, 365 days a year.

Slate Roof Renewal in Ranelagh
Ranelagh, Dublin 6
The rear slate roof of a terraced house in Ranelagh. We took the old slates and battens off back to the rafters, opening up the whole slope so the roof could be rebuilt properly from the timbers up.
With the roof open, we laid a yellow breathable membrane and new battens, then slated the roof again around the chimney stack and roof windows. The rear of the house now has a new slate roof that sits in line with its neighbours.
- Old slates and battens stripped
- Roof opened up to the rafters
- New breathable membrane and battens
- Re-slated around the chimney and roof windows
