Benefits of Expert Roof Repairs

A small fault left alone becomes a large one. Water that gets past a cracked tile soaks the felt, then the battens, then the insulation and the plaster below, and by the time a stain shows on the ceiling the damage has usually spread well beyond the original hole.

Home & Business Roof Repairs

We repair roofs on houses, bungalows and apartment blocks, and on shops, offices, warehouses and other commercial premises. For businesses we agree timings with you so the work causes as little disruption as possible, and at home we protect gardens, paths and parked cars while we are up on the roof.

  • Slipped, cracked and missing tiles
  • Broken or loose slates
  • Mortar ridges and hips re-bedded
  • Leaking flashings and valleys
  • Split felt and blistered flat roofs
  • Storm and wind damage

Slate Roof Repairs

Natural slate can last a very long time, but the nails holding it rarely do. When they rust through, slates slide out of place and leave a gap for rain to run in. We refix slipped slates with copper or stainless tingles, replace cracked ones with new or reclaimed Blue Bangor to match, and check the slates around them while we are there.

Tile Roof Repairs

Concrete and clay tiles are tough, but they crack under a fallen branch or a careless foot, and the mortar bedding on ridges and verges breaks down with frost. We replace damaged tiles with a matching profile and colour, re-bed or dry-fix loose ridges, and swap crumbling verge mortar for a dry verge system that never needs repointing.

Before we quote, we lift a tile or two around the problem area to check the underlay and battens. If the felt beneath has perished, changing tiles alone will not stop the leak, and we would rather tell you that up front.

FAQs

FAQs about our roof repair service

Answers to the questions we hear most often when someone rings about a leaking or damaged roof.

How much does a roof repair cost?

It depends on what has failed, the materials involved and how easy the roof is to reach safely. Replacing a few tiles from a ladder is very different from repairing a valley that needs scaffolding. We do not guess over the phone: we look at the roof first and then give you a free written quote, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to.

Can you match my existing tiles or slates?

Usually, yes. Most tile ranges fitted on Irish houses in recent decades are still manufactured, and reclaimed stock covers many of the older or discontinued ones. On slate roofs we use natural Blue Bangor or a suitable reclaimed slate so the repair sits in with the rest of the roof.

Should I repair my roof or replace it?

A repair makes sense when the problem is local, such as a few broken tiles or one failed flashing. If the underlay has perished across the roof, the battens are rotten, or slates are slipping everywhere because the nails have corroded, repeated repairs become poor value. We give you an honest view after the survey and, where it helps, price both options.

Do you repair flat roofs too?

Yes. Felt, EPDM, PVC and GRP flat roofs are all part of our repair work, as are garage roofs. Small splits and blisters can often be patched, and for awkward details or tired surfaces we can apply a cold liquid membrane such as Lava 20 or Mariseal, which cures into one continuous, flexible skin.

How quickly can you come out?

We take repair bookings for weekdays and weekends, and same-day repairs are possible when the diary and the weather allow. If water is coming in right now, call our 24/7 emergency line on 01 263 5253 and we will make the roof safe first, then come back for the permanent fix.

Are your repairs guaranteed?

Yes. Every repair is backed by our guarantee, and we explain what it covers when we give you your quote. Our roofers are qualified and the business holds full public liability insurance, so you are protected while the work is under way.
